FAQs

Noise Pollution

Concerns about noise level will be also be shared by our guests. Therefore the hotel has been specifically designed so that noise will be contained within the vessel and kept to a minimum.

In the design we have ensured that all public areas are placed as far as possible from Meridien Place to ensure there is no disturbance.

Servicing the hotel from water means that no lorries or late night deliveries will take place and boat movement within the dock will be electric powered, which is virtually silent.

Residential Values

Local residents may perhaps have concerns about the value of their properties being affected by the arrival of the Aquiva hotel. In fact, the proximity of a 5-star hotel is likely to enhance local property values, as the increased amenity to the area makes the surrounding properties more desirable.

Back of House Servicing

The hotel will be serviced entirely by water, so there will be no additional road traffic from goods deliveries, or refuse collection. This significantly reduces disturbance to the immediate area and ensures the immediate environment remains pleasant for all to enjoy.

Servicing the hotel by water also adds interest and animation to the docks.

Obstruction of View

The aft (rear) of the super-yacht design provides a 'waterfall' stepped design, to ensure that dock views from Meridien Place are maximised.

In comparing the profile of the Aquiva Super-yacht to that of the consented Chrome Castle cruise liner, you will note that the view is significantly improved.

Security

The security of the site and local area will improve considerably. We will provide 24-hour monitored CCTV protection around the hotel along the wharfside and local areas used by guests of the hotel.

This will provide safe environment for guests and local residents.
