Planning

A revised design was developed for a site adjacent to the Thames Quay building, at the eastern end of the dock. This was the location of the previously consented planning application for the Chrome Castle converted cruise liner, which was slightly larger than our new design.

We have taken considerable care over the design of the yacht, to ensure that access routes and activities have minimal impact on surrounding residents and businesses. Our proposal is for a very high quality hotel and we believe this will greatly enhance the facilities, landscaping and security within the imediate area. Pedestrian access will also be improved with the provision of a new bridge across Millwall Cutting, to provide a continuous walkway along the dockside.

We received planning consent for this new application on Wednesday 30 November 2005.
